She studied oboe at the Prague Conservatory and later graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in Professor Jiří Mihule’s class. Before finishing her studies, she had already won the 1st prize in the international competition Concertino Praga 1983 and was the overall winner of Europäischen Musikpreis Zürich in 1989, also taking the special award. She won the 3rd prize at the Prague Spring competition in 1991 and the 1st prize in the global IDRS Gilllet Competition 1997 in Evaston (USA).

By then, she had already been a well-known soloist both in the Czech Republic and abroad and played in chamber ensembles In modo camerale and Afflatus Quintet which won the 1st prize in the respected ARD Competition Munich in 1997. She teaches at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, is still an active chamber musician and often plays as a soloist both in the Czech Republic and abroad. Starting in 1987, she was the principal oboist of the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra for 15 years and recorded many oboe concertos and other compositions for the Czech Radio.
